In the third quarter of 2025, the Maps and Navigation category on the Android platform saw significant activity in South America. Here’s a closer look at how the top five apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 480K in late July. The app's weekly active users showed a steady increase throughout the quarter, rising from approximately 28.5M to over 30M by the end of September.

99: Rides, Food, Pay experienced a consistent growth in downloads, starting at about 278K and reaching nearly 339K by the end of the quarter. Its active user base also expanded, growing from 12.8M to approximately 14.6M.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw weekly downloads fluctuate, with a peak of around 288K in late July. Active users remained strong, increasing from 25.5M to nearly 26.9M by the end of September.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares demonstrated a consistent download rate, with numbers ranging from 230K to nearly 272K. Active users showed a positive trend, rising from 10.2M to approximately 10.9M.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery experienced a varied download pattern, peaking at over 306K in July. However, its active users saw a notable increase, climbing from 3.3M to nearly 3.9M by the end of the quarter.
